The main problem with the old perk system was that for the entire game player could learn just a several mostly non-impactful abilities therefore enhance his char only so much, it was simply no fun. Coincidentally, their new perk system was considered the weakest game's point so it underwent a major revision in Trudograd. With that out of the way, let's proceed to the game mechanics and what has changed since ATOM RPG, which was in itself mechanically wise pretty much a carbon copy of Fallout with the exception of the completely reworked perk system. Mind you, I have some questions regarding "big" things in it as well but rather not to talk about them. I'm so tired of zany stuff, overly expressions and excessive wordiness in general of the Russian version that I just will simply say one last time that I consider the writing aspect abysmal and be done with it. Second, many by now know my opinion on ATOM's writing but I won't delve into that anyway because I've played in Russian and from what I've seen the translation might vary quite a lot in the little things that matter. First off, the game looks and sounds really great albeit funnily enough, the location guy overdid things here and there. Ok, so I finished and have some thoughts.

Note: It can attack through walls! And the lowering of Warp Gauge allows you pretty aggressive plays. I would say that Clex is more of a Secondary Assassin. it has quite a huge single target damage and is super tanky. If you can't spam cheap WP abilities, Clex just won't work. you REALLY NEED to KNOW HOW TO USE HER! But are rewarded amply for doing so.Ĭulexus: Now, this one is much more reliant on the group composition. Note: She is super squishy, even more so than Vindi(given at which range she operates). But, used properly, she can solo objectives, even at day 450+(when the game starts to spam silly stuff). Her ranged is quite potent, but takes some skill to set up properly. She has a tool for any situation, can actually use stealth / sneak(Polymorphine) and fully bypasses Armor. Imo, it goes like this:Ĭallidus: This is THE Assassin amongst them all. Just a unit to use when you feel like they are good for the mission or the team composition or just because you like them. Assassins will likely level faster than your other units because they all really want kill credit for one reason or another, but otherwise you should treat them like any other grey knight. I really don’t get what people see in this one other than she is immune to the tentaris hive mission gimmick. In the early game you will almost never lower the warp gauge and in the late game other characters just don’t care that enemies are behind walls and the culexus’s extra ap is based on using willpower so in general they will start to lag behind your team in movement. It can be significant damage but the low range and the uselessness and rng factor of all their other abilities makes me rate them lowly. Completely broken unitĮversor: strong dps unit that can either be built around fat bleeds and detonating them or just a solo unit that gets 5 ap every turn and heals oftenĬullexus: just has damage through walls. |
